Earthwood Builders works with individuals and their architects to bring concepts and plans to life - from the ground up. Our company is comprised of several related entities that have been developed and fine tuned to provide seamless coordination of all services required for a high-quality building project regardless of its size and complexity. From the master carpentry and supervisory skills of our site construction crew, to our Interior Design staff and the Earthwood Cabinetry and Millwork Shop – we are dedicated, equipped and expert at designing and building.

We are a unique building firm with our own Interior Design Department. Our design staff is supported by an extensive resource library and innovative builders’ CAD (computer aided design) program that can provide clients with preliminary space planning and custom design concepts at the onset of a project. Capable of producing the full gamut of architectural plans, including construction and permit documents, our computer generated pictorial elevations and perspectives allow clients to easily visualize and critique their plans prior to construction.

Our commitment to quality is reflected in our project management policies. Each project is personally supervised by George Hancock and one field supervisor. We retain direct control of all carpentry and woodwork with our own staff - each of whom has at least 10 years experience.

The use of subcontractors is an efficient and cost-effective means of delivering the full range of services we provide to our clients. Over the years, we have developed strong working relationships with our subcontractors who have been carefully chosen for their commitment to the time-honored standards of their craft and their solid, dependable performance and quality of workmanship.

Historic Restoration is an art form requiring a thorough knowledge of Old World construction methods and modern materials. This kind of project often demands the use of craftsman who are masters of nearly lost arts such as plastering, chinking, stained glass and wood carving. We have long-established relationships with artisans and artists with the proven ability to recreate and restore unique beauty to architectural features from long ago.

Custom Cabinetry & Millwork is our specialty at Earthwood Builders. We have our own fully-equipped cabinetry and millwork shop located in New Windsor, Maryland. We produce all kinds of custom cabinetry, built-ins and furniture as well as specialty millwork at competitive prices.
