Craftsmanship, Quality, Value.
"It is unwise to pay too much, but it is worse to pay too little. When you pay too much you lose a little money -- that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing what it was bought to do."
--John Ruskin
The tradition of Old World craftsmanship is what sets Earthwood Builders apart from others in the business. Our skilled carpenters and cabinet makers take great pride in their work; approaching it much like fine art. Each of them understands and appreciates the wood they use whether it's for building a house or creating a piece of fine furniture.
"There is hardly anything in the world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price only are this man's lawful prey."
--John Ruskin
Our primary goal is to provide the highest value within a given budget. Earthwood Builders is committed to providing our full attention to each and every project we undertake. Quality and thoroughness are equally important to us, whether the budget is ten thousand dollars or or ten times that amount.
"The common law of business prohibits paying a little and getting a lot -- it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder it is appropriate to add something for the risk you run and if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better."
--John Ruskin
We will not cut corners to be the low bidder, as we strongly believe that true value is only achieved through quality, enduring work at a fair price. We are determined to provide true value to all our clients and to make them as comfortable through the entire construction process as possible.
George Hancock has brought quality craftsmanship to carpentry since 1973. George and his wife, Jan, formed Earthwood Builders in 1980 and incorporated one year later. Today, Earthwood Builders' commitment to quality is reflected in the entire staff and in the projects they have completed.
