Son of Janet and George Hancock and brother of younger sister Katie, Jeremy grew up in Sykesville at the same time Earthwood Builders matured as a company, a young spectator throughout the process.

As a scholar athlete, he played baseball and graduated from Catonsville Community College with honors in 1998. Jeremy continued to Shepherd College to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Administration with a minor in Business Management in 2000 while playing first base for the Shepherd Rams.

Work experience including Edridge Lumber Company, The Frederick Keys and seasonally with EBI since 1993 has prepared Jeremy for a full time position with the family business beginning in the year 2000. He is currently the cabinet shop foreman and has aspirations to expand upon his skills in carpentry and fine home building.

Residing New Windsor, with his wife Melissa, Jeremy enjoys golfing, skiing, attending Orioles and Raven games, canoeing, hiking, and camping, as well as building furniture for his home.
